The area photographs
The photograph of each area on the Field Atlas, its card and its guide page is a freely licensed daytime picture of that place, cut to 3:2 and lightly graded; nothing is added or removed. Three are from Wikimedia Commons and one from Unsplash. Dubai Hills Estate has no free ground photograph anywhere I could find, so its picture is a Sentinel-2 satellite image of the estate in daylight: the golf course in the middle, the villa phases around it, Al Khail Road along the north-east edge.

- Business Bay: Dubai Water Canal Business Bay by Iwona Rege, 2018-04-16, CC BY-SA 4.0, via Wikimedia Commons; cropped.
- Jumeirah Village Circle: An aerial view of a city with a circular building by Alim, 2022-01-20, Unsplash licence, via Unsplash; cropped.

Map data
Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). The field atlas is traced from it. The coastline, roads, water and area outlines are simplified and redrawn by hand; the geography underneath is theirs.
The Metro Blue Line is drawn dashed as a line under construction. Its route is traced from OpenStreetMap (railway=construction) and checked against the RTA’s Dubai Metro Blue Line project page (30 km, 14 stations). The date on the sheet, due 2029, is the RTA’s: its news of 12 June 2025, Mohammed bin Rashid lays foundation stone for Dubai Metro Blue Line, gives the Emaar Properties station in Dubai Creek Harbour an official inauguration in 2029. No day or month has been published.
